- To provide clear and practical clinical guidance on the intensification of insulin therapy in three clinical scenarios:
- Basal insulin and GLP-1RA failure
- Basal insulin failure and the option to simplify therapy with a combination – basal insulin & GLP-1RA
- Failure on oral (SGLT-2 inhibitor and other orals) plus GLP-1RA with the option to simplify the needed insulin therapy
- Three case studies are briefly presented and practical issues of intensification of glucose-lowering therapies tailored to the individual patient are illustrated in terms of good clinical practice
